John S. Berry, Jr., leads clients, teams, and soldiers to victory in critical battles. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and now leads Berry Law: Criminal Defense and Personal Injury Lawyers full time as CEO and managing attorney. His warrior ethos has become the foundation for the firm’s success.
From Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia to Operation Iraqi Freedom, John has always walked into tough battles prepared and ready to win. He commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the ROTC program at the College of William & Mary and served for 20 years before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He brings decades of battlefield and trial experience to the defense of his clients’ rights and the preservation of their future.
John graduated cum laude from Creighton University School of Law, and is also a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College at Mercer Law School in Macon, Georgia, Trial Lawyers College and the Nebraska State Bar Association Leadership Academy. John is past president of the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association and is a fellow of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers. John maintains an AV Preeminent Rating through Martindale Hubbell. He has been recognized as one of the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Trial Lawyers (2012-2019). John has presented and lectured in the areas of criminal defense, trial skills, and veterans disability appeals.
