LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, September 17, 2021 – Berry Law welcomes Eric Hagen to the firm’s Criminal Defense team. Hagen holds a Juris Doctor from Creighton University, as well as a master’s degree in negotiation and conflict resolution. He has been a law clerk for Berry Law since November 2020.
Hagen served in the United States Marine Corp as an adjutant officer, overseeing battalion legal administration for six years before attending law school. A member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and a Tillman Scholar, Hagen was an editor for the Creighton Law Review and president of the Military Law Society during his tenure at Creighton.
He volunteers with the Veterans Legal Support Network, an advocacy organization that seeks to protect Veterans’ benefits. Hagen said he was drawn to Berry Law because of the firms’ reputation for serving military Veterans and their families.
“It’s a familiar culture. The team at Berry Law has a strong commitment to defending the Constitution, which I swore to uphold as a United States Marine. That’s why I feel very comfortable here.”
Hagen lives in Elkhorn with his three sons. In his free time, he coaches rugby and football, serves on the board of the Nebraska Youth Rugby Association and volunteers with Fathers for a Lifetime.
