FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sarah Newell Attorney at Berry Law in Nebraska Granted Fellowship into The American College of Trial Lawyers
Lincoln, Nebraska – Sarah Newell, a trial attorney at Berry Law in Nebraska, has been granted fellowship into The American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), a prestigious professional organization for trial lawyers in the United States and Canada.
To be accepted into the ACTL, an attorney must meet strict criteria, including having a minimum of 15 years of trial experience and having tried a minimum of 50 cases to verdict or judgment. Fellows of the ACTL are recognized for their exceptional skill and professionalism in the field of trial law.
Graduating in the top 10 percent of her class, Sarah Newell received awards for her writing skills and extensive knowledge of Constitutional Law. After clerking for the Nebraska Supreme Court, Sarah appealed numerous cases, resulting in conviction reversals on both evidentiary and suppression grounds. She has also advocated to the United States Supreme Court on behalf of clients facing the death penalty.
Sarah is also a leader within her profession, serving on both the Nebraska State Bar Association’s House of Delegates and its Legislative Committee, which allows her to protect clients through policy advocacy—not just the courtroom. She served as President for the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association and the Robert Van Pelt Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
“We are thrilled to have Sarah as a Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers,” said John S. Litchfield, President of the ACTL. “Her impressive legal career and dedication to her clients make her a valuable addition to our organization.”
As a member of the ACTL, Sarah Newell gains access to a network of experienced trial lawyers, opportunities for continuing legal education, and the ability to participate in shaping the legal profession. The ACTL also advocates for excellence in advocacy and promotes fairness and impartiality in the justice system.
Sarah Newell’s fellowship in The American College of Trial Lawyers is a testament to her skill, professionalism, and dedication to the practice of trial law.
