Mykaylan Burner, Personal Injury Attorney
Mykaylan Burner is a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney at Berry Law, driven by a strong desire to advocate for individuals who are navigating difficult and emotional circumstances. With a background rooted in community service and public advocacy, Mykaylan is committed to providing compassionate and effective representation to personal injury clients. She graduated from Creighton University School of Law in May 2024 and was admitted to the Nebraska State Bar and the Nebraska District Court in September 2024.
During her time in law school, Mykaylan worked at the Creighton Juvenile Justice Legal Clinic, where she represented young clients involved in diversion and probation programs. One of her proudest moments was first-chairing a hearing that resulted in a client’s successful release from probation after making significant progress. In recognition of her commitment to service, Mykaylan completed over 50 hours of pro bono work, earning the Creighton Pro Bono Service Distinction and a Certificate from the Nebraska Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission.
In her role at Berry Law, Mykaylan focuses on representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others, ensuring that they receive the support and compensation they deserve. Her unique experience includes working in both state legislatures and the U.S. Congress, which has given her a broader perspective on the law and a deeper understanding of the systemic challenges her clients face. This diverse background allows Mykaylan to approach each case with empathy, nuance, and a genuine commitment to helping her clients through complex situations.
Outside of work, Mykaylan enjoys lifting weights at the gym, reading horror novels, and spending time with her bearded dragon. She is also working on becoming a gin connoisseur and is a dedicated supporter of live music events. Over the next five years, Mykaylan aims to continue expanding her legal expertise, strengthening her advocacy skills, and making a meaningful impact in her community through her work in personal injury law.
