Thomas M. Rowen
Personal Injury Attorney
25 Years As a Proven Litigator
Meet Thomas Rowen
Tom has handled over 25 trials in his 26 years of practicing law as a litigator. Tom originally gained vital experience as a litigator in the Douglas County Attorney’s office as a felony Deputy Douglas County Attorney where he successfully obtained 11 jury trial criminal convictions as a prosecutor upholding the criminal laws of the State of Nebraska.
After three and a half years as a prosecutor, Tom was hired by an insurance defense litigation firm defending property, casualty, and subrogation claims for his insurance company clients. In his five and a half years working for insurance company clients, Tom gained invaluable knowledge and experience of how insurance companies adjust and process injury claims at the corporate level.
Tom then went on to open his own plaintiff’s personal injury and criminal defense solo law practice gaining personal knowledge, experience, and the responsibility of operating a law business. Tom successfully obtained jury and non-jury trial acquittals and dismissals for both criminal and traffic matters as well as plaintiff’s jury trial verdicts and settlements for his clients over a ten year period.
Before joining Berry Law, Tom worked with a firm handling mainly workers’ compensation and personal injury claims. This required an in depth understanding and review of client’s medical treatment and records laying the foundation for truly understanding each specific injury sustained by each individual client.
“Berry Law has become the premier personal injury law firm in Nebraska, so I am honored and blessed to be a part of an organization filled with not only incredibly knowledgeable and hard-working people, but people focused on teamwork and commitment to the success of all those around them. Berry Law’s commitment to excellence in every aspect of the organization provides a stream-lined method for making sure each and every claim is handled properly to obtain the best possible result for each individual client.”
In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing golf, rooting on the Creighton Bluejays and Nebraska Cornhuskers, and spending as time with his wife, 15 year old son, and 13 year old daughter. Tom was previously voted on to the Field Club of Omaha Board of Directors, is a six time club champion at the Field Club of Omaha, has volunteered at The Heart Ministry Center, coached his son’s basketball team over a ten year period, and is a member of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic School Parish.
Work with Tom"I was referred by a fellow veteran to Berry Law. Even though I work and live overseas, Berry Law firm was willing to take my case which a lot of other firms don't. I chose Berry Law as my representative because they have excellent reputation and heard goods thing from my fellow veterans. I liked working with Berry Law because they were very clear from the beginning about fees and their plans to win my case. They followed up promptly. I couldn't be happier working with them. They were willing to help beyond my expectations. I got what I wanted and my life has changed positive way. Thank you so much for everything. I love you guys."
