John Berry was a guest on the KDWA radio station’s Community In-Depth series to discuss how we can help Veterans integrate back into the civilian world.
On the episode, John explains “I look at how horribly we treated our Vietnam Veterans. I came back to a parade in 2000. I came back to the airports and people were cheering, which is a lot different reception than my father got when he returned from Vietnam. So, I think we certainly have made a lot of progress. I certainly think the VA hospitals are good despite the bad press they get, because it is a great place for Veterans to go to be with other Veterans.
