Meet Orron Hill
Orron Tate Hill is an attorney and decorated veteran of the Nebraska Army National Guard (NEARNG) with over fifteen years of experience practicing law across a broad array of fields from military to family law. After becoming a paralegal in the National Guard in 2002, Hill worked with the Consolidated NEARNG Judge Advocate General section to provide legal services to retired and active-duty service members participating in the War on Terror and their families.
While studying at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln, Hill was moved by an Aristotle quote he heard in a criminal justice class: “At his best, man is the noblest of all animals; separated from law and justice he is the worst.” Hill was inspired to become an attorney, and, motivated by a desire to help public servants – whom Hill considers “those who have sacrificed higher paying careers to serve others – whether they be current servicemembers, veterans, educators, or government employees”- he enrolled in the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC) School of Law in 2004. He graduated with a juris doctorate in 2007. For the last decade-and-a-half, he has done legal work with the state and federal government, giving him a unique knowledge of the inner workings of various agencies.
Hill was named an Eagle Scout in 1995, and during his time with the NEARNG earned the Army Commendation Meal in 2004, the Meritorious Service Medal in 2006, the Army Achievement Medal in 2007 and the Humanitarian Service Medal in 2009. During his tenure at UMKC, he was named the 2007 Family Law Student of the Year.
When he isn’t practicing law, Hill enjoys travel, especially to movie-themed locations such as Disney World and Universal Studios, and outdoor destinations including the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, and Alaska, “to get back to nature.” He also enjoys reading, movies, and spending time with his family.
