David Hoeser
Berry Law Attorney
Veteran, Athlete, Sports Lover, Berry Law Attorney.
David Hoeser gets Veterans. After serving in the United States Army for seven years—and being deployed to Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom—David returned home to support his fellow Veterans and help them recover the disability benefits they deserve. A resolute defender with a never-give-up attitude, David understands that his role outside the military is to help Veterans through the difficult transition back to civilian life. His empathy for Veterans is matched only by his legal prowess, where he’s secured benefits for those who’ve felt overwhelmed by the aftermath of their service and the struggle of adjusting at home.
David knows that if you’re a Veteran, fighting for disability benefits isn’t the only struggle you’re facing. He takes the failure of the Veteran’s Affairs system to adequately provide your hard-earned benefits personally, and he is emboldened by his desire to help his comrades regain justice and normalcy in their lives. His Army values drive his promise to clients that no matter what, he will continue fighting for them. Winners, he says, never quit.

David isn’t just a force in legal battles; he’s also proven himself on the battlefield and has been recognized for his dedication to his country. He received an Army Achievement Medal in 2012 and another in 2014, along with an Army Commendation Medal, an Army Good Conduct Medal, and an Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star in 2013. He’s proudest of the moments he’s worked together with his fellow soldiers to win important battles and refuses to relent on that principle with his Veteran clients.
While David is a fighter, he’s also extremely compassionate and cares about helping those who are vulnerable to abuse of power. Outside the Army but before joining Berry Law, David was a court-appointed special advocate for children in abuse and neglect cases and also volunteered as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands. Today, David is proud to be an attorney who helps Veterans through the most difficult fights of their lives, providing the legal fortitude that gives them the confidence and strength to return to a normal life.
Army Strong, Attorney Proud
David is a team player, and that’s obvious when it comes to his passion for sports. On his off days, David can often be spotted at an Omaha Storm Chasers game with his wife, Carrie, or crushing marathons with her at his side. The two of them both love cheering for their favorite sports teams (Go Colts!) or spending a relaxing night cooking together. Carrie is a behavioral therapist and shares David’s passion for helping people find their footing and confidence in an oft-difficult and unfair world. Whatever he’s doing, David is always supporting and caring for others, even if it’s just cheering from the stands.
