LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, November 11, 2021 –
Berry Law believes Veterans deserve the utmost respect for their time in the military, and for their continued service to their community afterward. For this year’s Veterans Day 2021, the attorneys at Berry Law were looking to reward a local Veteran who has continued to serve the community out of uniform. “We are excited to offer a $500 based prize that will be given to one Veteran to acknowledge their contributions and to help them achieve their future goals.” To help select a recipient for the 2021 Reward a Veteran Award, Berry Law invited members of our community to fill out the form on the Berry Law Website to nominate a deserving Veteran who has served our country and who continues to serve Nebraskans.
And The Winner Is… Marine Corps. Alex Bratt
Marine Corps. veteran Alex Bratt was this year’s recipient after he volunteered 400 hours to the community, including work with Irreverent Warriors to prevent veteran suicide.
“The biggest part for me it was a shock to win the award, but hearing 10 individuals voted for me, it’s just you don’t do it for yourself, you don’t do it for an award, you don’t do it for anyone you do it to help a veteran,” Bratt said.
Bratt was given a $500 check to help with his volunteer work within the community.
