Husband, Golfer, Attorney at Berry Law Firm
Justin Kalemkiarian knows people. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa, and a background in business development, non-profits, law, and foreign affairs, Justin has an intimidating arsenal of experience that’s crafted to help his clients’ lives and get them the best results, every time.
Justin’s love for people has been the foundation of his career and the reason for his pursuit into law. After working in government and non-profit work, Justin saw how the rule of law can affect the everyday lives of people. Determined to bring justice into others’ lives, Justin began pursuing criminal defense and licensure defense cases, with an emphasis on drug crimes, Title IX allegations, white collar crimes, DUI/DWI defense, and professional license defense. Now Justin fights for clients in the courtroom, ardently defending their Constitutional rights, no matter the charge. He says it never gets old.Work with Justin
Justin’s dedication is apparent in the way he makes himself available to his clients, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. He provides each of his clients with his email and his cell phone number so that he can be available whenever a client needs him. Is it Christmas Day? Don’t hesitate to reach out—Justin knows that an important question can come on any day of the year and his clients’ peace of mind comes first.
This dedication to his clients’ futures is what let to Justin being named a SuperLawyers Rising Star for two years running, in addition to being named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40. As a social person with a special love for the Lincoln community, Justin is also on the boards of the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association andNextGen Lincoln, and in the past was on the Boards of Lincoln’s Downtown Rotary 14 and the Friends of Lied.
Justin’s dedication doesn’t stop in the courtroom or the community: He’s also a loving husband to his wife, Taylor, an avid athlete, and the proud owner of two rambunctious miniature schnauzers (who think they’re watchdogs, of course). While Justin likes to cook, he admits he’s still not quite good enough for his wife’s tastes! He also loves to golf, and often attends tournaments with his friends for a bit of (friendly) competition. He’s also completed two triathlons, multiple mountain bike races, and one (unfortunate!) cyclo-cross race.
Justin loves to socialize and have fun, and he is happy to bring that camaraderie to his relationships with his clients. With both determination and teamwork, Justin knows that he and his clients can win any battle. The best part of his career? When he hears from his clients that he helped save their lives. In Justin’s mind, it’s always others who come first.
If you’re looking for an attorney, Justin has a piece of advice: “While it’s nice to like me as a person, it’s far more important that you be able to trust me. Go with an attorney you trust.”
