Omaha Attorney Kathleen Pallesen Joins Berry Law Firm
Berry Law Firm is pleased to welcome the addition of Kathleen Pallesen to the Omaha attorney team. A legal powerhouse in her own right, Mrs. Pallesen has been practicing law for over 25 years and brings with her a wide array of experience to help clients with many civil problems, including probate, guardianship, civil litigation, and elder law.
Mrs. Pallesen started her legal career in Washington D.C. as a legislative aide to Congressman Peter Hoagland, after earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law, in Lincoln. After moving back to Omaha in 1995, she became a prosecutor for the Douglas County Attorney’s Office. As an attorney in the juvenile division of the county attorney’s office, Mrs. Pallesen created the “Termination Unit,” where she exclusively filed and adjudicated all the termination of parental rights cases due to the backlog of children languishing in the Omaha foster care. She also spent time prosecuting adult drug felony cases in the Douglas County Attorney’s Office, and has been in private practice at Spethman Pallesen Law Offices, LLC since 2013.
Mrs. Pallesen is the latest attorney addition to Berry Law Firm in 2018, continuing the pattern of strong growth that earned Berry Law a place on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing businesses for the past two years. The Firm has spent much of 2018 expanding its practice in Omaha, as well as increasing its representation throughout Nebraska, including Geneva, Ashland, York, Bellevue, Aurora and Gretna. With 6 U.S. locations, Berry Law Firm is well-positioned to defend clients, and continues to serve veterans nationwide.
Mrs. Pallesen is a passionate attorney who finds fulfillment by helping people in times of legal crisis. With an extensive legal background as a lawyer for juveniles and as a guardianship attorney, she has found that her greatest strength revolves around her ability to help those in need. She knows, instinctively, how to make connections with people and how to help them formulate a solution to their problems. Mrs. Pallesen has the ability to think outside the box, and craft solutions tailored for her individual clients, which makes her a perfect fit for Berry Law Firm.
A devoted community volunteer, Mrs. Pallesen also serves on several local Omaha committees. She co-chairs the 2019 MarianFest, and is a former member of the Aksarben Foundation, Women’s Ball Committee, which raises funds for the Horatio Alger Scholarships in Nebraska and western Iowa.
