OMAHA, NEB., November 10, 2022 – Berry Law attorney Matthew Knipe is now a recognized member of the 2022 Lawyers of Distinction for his work in the area of criminal defense law.
As a defense attorney, Knipe has represented those charged with anything from misdemeanor drug possession to homicide, and is dedicated to the fight to preserve individual constitutional rights. From “not guilty” verdicts to dismissals to reduced charges from juries or judges, Knipe’s fighting spirit is evidenced by his team’s results.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for our tireless work on behalf of our clients,” said Knipe. “This award reflects not only my accomplishments, but that of the Berry Law criminal practice team.”
Knipe’s specialties include drug crimes, violent offenses, assault, criminal defense, sex crimes, and DUI defense. From trial to appeal, in state or federal courts, Knipe prides himself in stopping at nothing to fight for his clients. With his continued service in the Marine Corps Reserve as a gunnery sergeant, he brings his core values of honor, courage, and commitment to every case he takes on.
“Matt Knipe has shown time and again his commitment to our clients, from discovery to appeals,” said Sarah Newell, head of the Berry Law criminal practice section. “This award is well-deserved – Matt’s dedication sets the bar high.”
The 2022 Lawyers of Distinction recognizes attorneys through a four-step process that takes into account an attorney’s independently verifiable record of service, their ethics, and their personal history to validate their nomination in their area of expertise.
“Matt Knipe has truly earned his reputation as a credit to the profession and as a dogged advocate for our clients,” said John S. Berry, Jr., CEO of Berry Law. “His work ethic is evident not only in recognitions such as this, but through his continued success at negotiating and achieving best possible outcomes for our clients.”
Knipe has a master’s degree in public administration from Drake University and holds a juris doctor from Drake Law School. He is admitted to practice law in both Nebraska and Iowa, and has been with Berry Law since 2020.
