The COVID-19 pandemic has presented many problems to every business sector, including the legal industry. Coffee with America hosted Berry Law attorney John Berry, Jr., to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on the legal system.
Berry details how COVID-19 has impacted the legal industry. “It affects the legal system greatly. People come to the courthouse to get justice. When the legal system starts to slow down and the courthouse shuts down, people can’t get justice,” states Berry. “We do a lot of criminal defense work, so the 6th Amendment is extremely. Our clients have a right to a speedy and public trial.”
